JL is a franco-albertan screenwriter and director. His work explores the human condition through textural and sensorial visuals. His approach to storytelling is experimental and intuitive, yet grounded in authentic human experience and emotion. His most recent work includes the Cirque du Soleil RAW commercial series (featured on NOWNESS and Official selection at the Berlin Commercial Film Festival 2023) and the ECHO Prologue commissioned film, screened at the International Festival of Films on Art in 2023. He has begun writing his first feature length film titled Blast and Cruise, a tense and intimate story of an aspiring young bodybuilder.
